Salton City, California (Google)
Located in the Imperial Valley, this city was once at the height of tourism during the 1960’s. Pollution and high salinity levels killed most of the marine life in the Salton Sea and a horrid stench filled the entire the city. The city downward spiraled in the 1980’s.
Now it roughly contains 4,000 people living in this barren, other-worldly planet.
Out my window, shots taken during a lightning storm featuring modern suburbia.
It freaks me out how when lightning strikes, it can make everything look like its day time/evening.
